perceiving is creating
Our perception of the world inevitably goes through our body, whether it’s immediate sensations (like sight) or more subtle ones (like intuition).
Our feelings are influenced by our emotions and experiences, which color our view of the world, much like “glasses” shaped by our culture, history, and sensitivity. What kind of glasses do we wear? Can we change them? There are few moments when we consciously choose to explore these questions.
the richness of sensible experience
Our perception of the world is influenced by our body and its environment, making sensory experience a process that is both cultural, personal, and ever-evolving. The body is both a social product and a place of self-experience, both multiple and unique.
Exploring our feelings requires a multidisciplinary approach and diverse tools, as I’ve discovered throughout my journey.
my multidisciplinary approach
As an artist, anthropologist, and naturopath, I have developed methods to reconnect with this sensible dimension:
- I explore how culture and society shape our perceptions;
- And, with a holistic approach to body and mind, I highlight the interconnectedness of sensations, emotions, thoughts, vital energy, and spiritual consciousness;
- My artistic creations, whether immersive or in situ, invite us to explore these relationships between body, space, and the world.
